Vision. Mission. Values
Our vision is to reduce the number of unwanted pets in the Greater Kansas City area and help create a more manageable and humane community cat population.
Our mission is to reduce the homeless animal population in the Greater Kansas City area by subsidizing spay/neuter surgery for pet owners who cannot afford the cost of surgery, financially assisting community cat caretakers and trappers with the cost of spay/neuter for trap, neuter-spay and return (TNR), and creating more accessibility to area veterinarians for low-income pet owners through the establishment of a vet network.
Our values are:
~ Spaying and neutering humanely reduces the number of homeless animals.
~ Humanely reducing the number of animals on the streets and in animal shelters and rescues improves the health and wellness of the communities we live in.
~ By fixing more animals, we alleviate a financial burden for the community as there are fewer animals to care for in taxpayer-funded shelters.
~ It is healthier for pets to be spayed and neutered.
~ We will treat people and pets with compassion, dignity, and kindness.
~ We value our partnerships with organizations with similar missions and vision.
~ We respect the skills and time of area veterinarians while creating mutually beneficial partnerships.
~ We are excellent stewards of the trust and funding our donors and grantors bestow upon us.
